Eagles’ Wings Inc. is looking for a Registered Nurse to care for individuals with Developmental Disabilities You will be responsible for educating staff and their families on prevention and healthy habits. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional able to give the best nursing care with little supervision. You will be compassionate and cool-tempered. You will be able to follow health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently. The goal is to promote patient’s well-being by providing high quality nursing care and training staff in Medication Assistance. This is a small non-profit which consists mainly of a Day Habilitation Program and two homes. This is not bedside or traditional nursing. Low stress and great reward. Mass trained would be a plus!! We have insurance-Dental, Visual, and Health, sign on bonus, free life insurance and other perks. This is a Monday-Friday 8-5 job with shared call on the weekends. Day Program Direct Support Professional

Plans, initiates, coordinates, and monitors individuals’ and their Person-Centered Plans and Functional Assessment. Works closely with Nursing staff, Direct Care Professionals, and office staff in fulfilling the daily needs of people who attend Eagles’ Wings. Work closely with consultants, Ability Alliance of West Alabama, Region 2 Community Services, ADMH, HCBS, families, and people receiving Medicaid services.

The Residential Direct Support Professional is responsible for guiding, coaching, and encouraging individuals to achieve their maximum level of independence and integrate into the community. They will assure individuals have opportunities to increase independent functioning, cognitive training, domestic and economic management, responsibility, physical health, development, and self-direction in accordance with the Home and Community Based Setting rule.
